Description
T.E.D.™ Anti-Embolism Stockings are specifically designed to reduce the risk of blood clot formation, such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), during periods of immobility. These stockings are particularly beneficial after surgery, during hospitalization, or in any situation where increased risk of blood clots is a concern.
Key Features
- Graduated Compression: Enhances blood flow velocity and reduces venous distension, providing effective support through firm elastic construction.
- Design Options: Available in both knee-length and thigh-length, with an open-toe design for easy inspection of skin and pedal pulse.
- Defined Heel Pocket: Ensures correct placement, while the toe opening allows for convenient skin and pulse checks.
- Seamless Construction: Contoured to eliminate constriction and minimize slippage, featuring an inlay circumferential knit for one-way horizontal stretch and pressure maintenance.
- Specialized Pressure Management: Includes a pressure break at the popliteal vein and an interrupted band with a 2-ply gusset to prevent the tourniquet effect at the femoral vein.
- Latex-Free: Not manufactured with natural rubber latex, making it suitable for those with latex sensitivities.
Size and Fit
The Large size offers various length options to ensure a proper fit:
- Knee Length, Large Regular: Suitable for calf circumferences between 38.2 cm and 44.5 cm, with a heel to knee length of 35.6 cm to 45.7 cm.
- Thigh Length Options: Includes Large Short, Regular, and Long, accommodating different leg lengths with a thigh circumference of less than 63.6 cm.
Proper measurement is essential for correct sizing, and it is recommended to consult with a healthcare professional.
