### What it is
Souvenaid Nutritional Drink by Nutricia is a Food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP) designed for enteral (oral) use only. This ready-to-drink, milk-based supplement provides 1 kcal/mL in a 125 mL bottle and is intended for use under medical supervision as an adjunct to the normal diet. Flavours: Vanilla, Strawberry, Cappuccino.
### Who it is for and intended benefit
- For the dietary management of people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, including mild cognitive impairment.
- Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition; use in addition to regular meals.
- When taken daily, it nutritionally supports memory and cognitive function in early Alzheimer’s; clinical evidence includes studies up to 3 years. A minimum daily use of around 6 months is typically recommended as advised by a healthcare professional.
- May be used alongside Alzheimer’s medications as directed by a healthcare professional.
### Composition: Fortasyn Connect
A specific combination of nutrients including:
- Omega‑3 fatty acids: DHA 1200 mg and EPA 300 mg per bottle
- Uridine 5′‑monophosphate 625 mg
- Choline 400 mg; phospholipids ~106 mg
- B vitamins (e.g., folic acid, B6, B12, niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, biotin)
- Antioxidants (vitamins C and E) and trace minerals (e.g., selenium, zinc)
Key ingredients (Vanilla example) include water, maltodextrin, sugar, fish oil, cow’s milk proteins, UMP, choline chloride, soy lecithin, vitamins and minerals, and permitted thickeners and acidity regulators. Ingredients may vary slightly by flavour.
### Directions for use
- Take 1 bottle (125 mL) once daily, ideally at the same time each day.
- Shake well; best served chilled.
- If a dose is missed, take it when remembered on the same day.

### Suitability and allergen information
- Contains milk, fish and soy; not suitable for those with related allergies.
- Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.
- Gluten‑free ingredients (<20 mg/kg). Low lactose; per 100 mL lactose <0.025 g.
- Low glycaemic index (GI ~50 reported for Vanilla and Strawberry). People with diabetes can consume but should monitor blood glucose due to carbohydrate content.

### Storage and handling
- Store unopened in a cool, dry place (approximately 5–25 °C).
- Once opened, close, refrigerate and consume within 24 hours.
