Description
SOFMESH SI WOUND CONTACT LAYER by Sentry Medical is an advanced wound care solution designed to enhance healing while minimizing discomfort during dressing changes. This sterile, single-use dressing features a non-adherent silicone mesh, making it ideal for a wide range of wound types, including those with light to heavy exudate.
Key Features
- Non-Adherent Design: The silicone mesh prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound, new tissue, or fragile skin, reducing pain and tissue disturbance during removal.
- Moisture Retention: Retains moisture at the wound bed while allowing excess exudate to pass through perforations into a secondary dressing, creating an optimal healing environment.
- Versatile Use: Suitable for various wound types such as skin tears, partial thickness burns, pressure injuries, and more. Can also be used as a protective interface with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT).
Application Instructions
- Secondary Dressing Requirement: Should be covered with a suitable secondary dressing and fixed using adhesive or non-adhesive methods.
- Wear Time: Recommended wear time is up to 7 days, with a maximum of 14 days between changes, depending on the wound condition.
- Special Considerations: For blisters and skin graft fixation, a minimum application of 5 days is advised. For bleeding wounds, a moist absorbent dressing pad is recommended.
