The ROSEWORTHY VET MAJOR PACK provides a comprehensive overview of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program offered at the Roseworthy Campus. This program is meticulously structured across three levels of study, focusing on core courses that cover essential areas of veterinary sciences such as pharmacology, pathology, anaesthesia, surgery, and clinical practice. Students gain hands-on experience with companion animals, equines, ruminants, as well as in wildlife conservation, public health, and biosecurity.

Practical Experience

A significant component of the program is the practical experience gained through structured internships and 26 weeks of extra-mural studies (EMS). This practical training is divided into four components spread over three years, providing students with invaluable real-world experience.

Accreditation

The program boasts accreditation from prestigious bodies including the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council (AVBC), the Veterinary Surgeons' Board of Hong Kong, and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in the UK. Upon completion of the program and EMS, graduates are eligible to register as veterinarians in Australia.
