ResMed Pixi Pediatric Mask Headgear is the replacement headgear component for the ResMed Pixi Pediatric CPAP mask system. It is designed for children aged 2–7, shaped to suit small faces, with a light blue, low-visibility appearance. One-size headgear made from breathable Breath-O-Prene with soft, supportive components helps distribute tension while keeping the child’s eyes and ears clear.

- Strap architecture:
- Top strap aligns vertically with the top of the ears (do not overextend).
- Middle strap runs horizontally across the back of the head, level with the top of the ears.
- Lower strap routes behind the neck; side-facing back strap orientation aids caregiver fitting.
- Quick release: Lower headgear arm features a quick‑release latch/clip for removal without disturbing previous settings; in an emergency, pull firmly on the lower strap to release.
- Adjustability: Hook‑and‑loop straps permit gentle, incremental adjustments; avoid overtightening.
Fitting and adjustment guidance
- Seat the child upright.
- Hold the mask to the child’s face so the nose is enclosed and the mouth remains clear.
- Pull the headgear over the head; position the middle strap across the mid‑back of the head.
- Attach the lower strap via the quick‑release clip, then fine‑tune strap tension starting from the bottom strap and working upward.
- Verify the top strap aligns with the top of the ears, the middle strap remains horizontal, and the lower strap routes behind the neck.
- Recheck comfort and visibility; readjust gently as needed.
