PKU Anamix Infant is a specialized powdered formula designed for infants with phenylketonuria (PKU). This phenylalanine-free formula provides a safe protein source for infants from birth to 12 months, and as a supplementary feed up to 3 years of age. It is essential that this formula is used under medical supervision to ensure proper dietary management.

Nutritional Composition

This formula is enriched with essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and trace elements. It includes long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids such as DHA and AA, along with prebiotic fibers. Each 100g of powder offers 13g of protein equivalent and an energy content of 466 kcal. The presence of omega-3 and omega-6 fats supports overall infant health.

Preparation Instructions

To prepare, mix one level scoop (5g) with 30ml of water, achieving a recommended feed concentration of 15% w/v. It should be prepared immediately before feeding and any unused portion should be discarded within one hour. The formula should not be boiled, microwaved, or warmed for more than 15 minutes.

Dietary Suitability

PKU Anamix Infant is suitable for Halal and vegetarian diets. It is not intended as a sole source of nutrition and should be complemented with other protein sources to meet phenylalanine, fluid, and general nutritional needs.
