PARACHOC ORAL LIQ is a specialized oral liquid formulation designed to effectively manage constipation through its active ingredient, liquid paraffin at 50% concentration. This product serves as a stool softener and lubricant laxative, making it particularly suitable for children from 12 months of age and adults when other measures such as dietary changes and increased fluid intake prove insufficient.

• Adults: 40–50 mL once daily

Dosage can be adjusted in 5 mL increments to achieve the desired effect, with changes potentially taking up to four days to manifest. Each 5 mL dose contains 2.5 mL of liquid paraffin. It is advised to shake well before use and it can be mixed with cold milk, flavoured drinks, or yogurt for easier consumption.

Precautions

• Timing: Should not be taken less than two hours before lying down to prevent inhalation risks.
• Supervision: Prolonged use should be under medical supervision, particularly in cases of abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting.
• Use in Pregnancy: Should only be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding upon medical advice.
