Description

Nutricia Nutrison (fibre-free) is a nutritionally complete, ready-to-use polymeric enteral tube feed providing 1 kcal/mL. It is fibre-free and suitable as a sole source of nutrition under medical supervision for the dietary management of disease-related malnutrition and for patients requiring residue-restricted diets. The formulation features a whey-dominant P4 protein blend to support a balanced amino acid profile and gastrointestinal tolerance, alongside a fat blend with MCT and fish oil (sources of DHA and EPA). Lactose content is very low.

Suitability and contraindications

• For enteral use only; not for parenteral use. Must be used under medical supervision.
• Intended for adults; not suitable for infants <1 year. Use with caution in children 1–6 years with healthcare professional monitoring.
• Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia or cow’s milk protein allergy. Use with caution in individuals with seafood/fish allergy.

Format, packaging, and system use

• Ready-to-hang OpTri bottles in 500 mL and 1000 mL.
• ISO-compliant flip-top screw cap; cap removable for decanting.
• Suitable for closed or open system feeding; ENPlus cross port; compatible with Nutricia/Flocare giving sets.
• Bottle is fully recyclable; do not wash and re-use.

Directions for use and hang times

• Shake well and use at room temperature. Handle aseptically. Regimen to be set by a healthcare professional.
• Closed system (aseptically handled): hang for up to 24 hours.
• Open system (cap/foil removed): hang for up to 8 hours.

Storage

• Store unopened in a cool, dry place.
• Once opened, reclose and refrigerate; discard any unused contents within 24 hours.
