Overview

Nutricia Nutrison Energy Multi Fibre is a nutritionally complete, high‑energy (1.53 kcal/mL), fibre‑enriched, ready‑to‑use enteral tube feed for adults. It may be used as a sole source of nutrition under medical supervision. For enteral use only.

Composition and key nutrients

• MF6 multi‑fibre blend: 15 g/1000 mL with an ≈80:20 soluble:insoluble ratio (inulin, oligofructose, gum arabic, soy polysaccharides, cellulose, resistant starch).
• P4 protein blend: 60 g/L from whey, casein, soy and pea; indicative per 1000 mL: whey ~21 g, casein ~15 g, soy ~12 g, pea ~12 g.
• Fat blend includes MCT and fish oil supplying omega‑3s (per 1000 mL: DHA ~137 mg; EPA ~200 mg).
• Enriched with carotenoids (~3 mg/1000 mL) and includes choline (~550 mg/1000 mL).
• Osmolality ~500 mOsmol/kg H2O.

Indications and suitability

• Dietary management of disease‑related malnutrition and for patients with increased energy and protein requirements.
• Not suitable for patients requiring a fibre‑free diet, for individuals with galactosaemia, or for those with cow’s milk protein allergy.

Administration and compatibility

• Ready‑to‑hang 500 mL and 1000 mL OpTri bottles for pump delivery or syringe bolus.
• Compatible with closed or open systems; typical hang times up to 24 h (closed) or 8 h (open), using aseptic technique.
• Check appearance, shake well, and use at room temperature. Do not dilute or add medications. Intake and administration to be determined by a healthcare professional.
