Description

Nutricia NutriniDrink Powder is a nutritionally complete powdered oral supplement for children 1–12 years, formulated with a paediatric profile (higher fat, lower protein and less iron than adult formulas). It can be prepared to 1.0, 1.5 (standard) or 2.0 kcal/ml to meet varying energy needs, and may be used as a sole source of nutrition or as a supplement under medical supervision. Available in Vanilla and Neutral (unflavoured).

Indications and suitability

• For the dietary management of disease‑related malnutrition, increased energy and protein needs, and faltering growth/growth failure.
• For children 1–12 years; not suitable for infants <1 year.
• May be used as sole source of nutrition or as a supplement under medical supervision.
• Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.
• Contraindications: gastrointestinal failure, complete intestinal failure, major intra‑abdominal sepsis.
• Important: not for parenteral use.

Directions for preparation (to make 100 ml)

• 1.0 kcal/ml: 20.3 g powder + 83 ml water.
• 1.5 kcal/ml (standard): 30.4 g powder (≈5 level scoops) + 75 ml water (about 20°C).
• 2.0 kcal/ml: 40.6 g powder + 67 ml water.
• Scoop size ≈6.1 g. Stir until fully dissolved. Use prepared feed within 2 hours and discard any unused portion. Use as directed by a healthcare professional.

Packaging and storage

• 400 g can with included scoop.
• Reseal firmly. Store in a cool, dry place. Use contents within one month of opening.
