Description

Nutricia Nutrini Energy is a ready-to-use, nutritionally complete, fibre-free paediatric enteral tube feed (Food for Special Medical Purposes) for use under medical supervision. Designed for children 1–6 years or 8–20 kg, it provides 1.5 kcal/mL to support higher energy needs while remaining very low in lactose; for enteral use only.

Indications and users

• Dietary management of disease-related malnutrition and/or faltering growth
• When a fibre-free diet is required
• Situations needing higher energy density (e.g., fluid restriction or increased requirements)
• Suitable as a sole source of nutrition within the stated age/weight range; use with caution ≥7 years

• Fibre-free; whey-protein–enriched casein/whey blend for tolerance and protein balance
• Paediatric-appropriate macronutrient profile (higher fat, lower protein and iron vs adult formulas)
• Enriched with DHA and EPA; omega-6:omega-3 ≈ 3.8:1; contains carotenoids
• Very low lactose (<0.025 g/100 mL)

Directions for use

• Use at room temperature; check appearance and shake well. Handle aseptically. Do not dilute or add medications. Use only as directed by a healthcare professional.

Storage

• Store unopened in a cool, dry place. Once opened, close and refrigerate; discard any unused contents after 24 hours.

Important notices

• Must be used under medical supervision; for enteral use only; not for parenteral use
• Not suitable for infants under 1 year or for patients with galactosaemia
• Use with caution in children ≥7 years and in those with seafood (fish) allergy
• Children on low volumes may require additional fluids; very small volumes may need extra vitamin/trace element supplementation at the clinician’s discretion
