Nutricia Nutrini Energy is a ready-to-use, nutritionally complete, high‑energy (1.5 kcal/mL) paediatric enteral tube feed available in two variants: Fibre‑free and Multi Fibre. Classified as a Food for Special Medical Purposes, it is intended for enteral use only under medical supervision. Designed for children aged 1–6 years or weighing 8–20 kg, it can be used as a sole source of nutrition within this range for the dietary management of disease‑related malnutrition and faltering growth. The Fibre‑free option is suitable when a fibre‑free diet is required; the Multi Fibre variant (MF6 blend) may help support normal bowel function.

Suitability and cautions

• For children 1–6 years or 8–20 kg; use with caution in children aged 7+ years.
• Not suitable for infants <1 year or for patients with galactosaemia.
• Enteral use only; not for parenteral use.
• Contains cow’s milk proteins, soy, and fish oil; assess suitability in fish/seafood allergy.
• When prescribed at low volumes or over short feeding times, additional fluids may be required.
• At the lower end of the age/weight range with small volumes, additional vitamin/trace element supplementation may be needed.

Ingredients and allergens

Directions for use

• Use at room temperature; check appearance and shake well; handle aseptically.
• Do not dilute or add medications.
• Typical hanging times: up to 24 h (closed system); up to 8 h (open system).

Storage

• Store unopened in a cool, dry place.
• After opening, close, refrigerate, and use within 24 hours; discard unused contents after 24 hours.
