Active Ingredients

• Sterculia (Karaya Gum): Comprising 62% of the formulation, this natural vegetable gum acts as a non-fermentable fibre in the gut, helping to form a soft, bulky stool.
• Frangula Bark Powder: At 8% concentration, this herbal component serves as a mild stimulant laxative, promoting gentle peristaltic action.

Administration

Normacol Plus is available in granule form, with a light to dark brown coating. The recommended dosage for adults and children over 12 years is 1–2 heaped 5 mL spoonfuls or sachets, taken once or twice daily after meals. The granules should be swallowed whole with ample water or a cool drink and should not be chewed or crushed. It is advisable not to take the granules while lying down or just before bedtime.

Nutritional Information

Each 7g dose provides approximately 4.0–4.5g of dietary fibre and contains about 1.7g of sucrose. The energy content is around 7 Calories, with sodium levels ranging from 1.25 to 2.5 mmol.
