Intended Use and Limitations

The baseplate is intended for single-patient use and should be replaced with each bag change, up to a maximum of four days after installation. It is not suitable for patients who:

• Lack two available stomal openings.
• Cannot have chyme refed into their distal limb.
• Have begun consuming solid foods.
• Have active Clostridium difficile infections.
• Do not have a caregiver to assist with its use.

Chyme should not be refed if it has been outside the body for 12 hours or longer, and the product is not intended for patients with suspected intestinal wall defects.

Maintenance
