Description
Overview
Avanos MICROCUFF Paediatric Endotracheal Tubes are cuffed ETTs designed for secure airway management in infants and children, including neonatal patients. The ultra‑thin, strong polyurethane MICROCUFF cuff employs a high‑volume, low‑pressure design to establish an effective tracheal seal at lower cuff pressures. Each tube features a continuous radiopaque line for X‑ray visibility and placement aids intended to support accurate positioning in paediatric airways. Both configurations are supplied without a Murphy eye.
Key features
- MICROCUFF technology: ultra‑thin, strong polyurethane cuff.
- High‑volume, low‑pressure cuff geometry to achieve an effective tracheal seal at lower cuff pressures.
- Placement aids for guidance and verification:
- Centimeter depth markings along the tube.
- Black intubation depth mark above the cuff for alignment at the vocal cords.
- Four positioning/verification bands to facilitate and confirm optimal tube placement.
- Continuous radiopaque line for X‑ray visibility.
- Cuff location designed for ideal anatomical placement in paediatric airways.
- Supplied without a Murphy eye.
