Description
Overview
A cuffed paediatric endotracheal tube designed for neonatal and paediatric airway management by trained clinicians in operating theatre, intensive care, and emergency settings. It incorporates the Avanos MICROCUFF technology to support an effective tracheal seal at minimal cuff pressures while aiding accurate placement and verification.
Key design and materials
- MICROCUFF cuff: ultra‑thin, strong polyurethane (PU) cuff with a short, cylindrical geometry.
- High‑volume, low‑pressure design to help achieve an effective tracheal seal at minimal cuff pressure.
- Anatomical cuff placement: cuff designed to sit within the trachea, distal to the larynx.
- Tube supplied without a Murphy eye.
Placement and verification features
- Black vocal cord placement marker located near/above the cuff to guide insertion depth during intubation.
- Four positioning/verification bands to help confirm correct depth after intubation.
- Centimetre depth markings along the tube for consistent placement and documentation.
- Continuous radiopaque line for X‑ray visibility.
