The MIC-KEY Low-Profile Jejunal (J) Feeding Tube Kit with ENFit Extension Sets from Avanos Medical provides low-profile enteral access to the jejunum for delivery of nutrition, fluids, and medications when gastric feeding is not suitable. This validated variant has a 14 Fr outer diameter, 4.5 cm stoma length, and 82 cm jejunal length, with a single jejunal feeding port (no dedicated medication port) and ENFit connectivity. It is supplied sterile and includes compatible MIC-KEY ENFit extension sets.

Indications and use

Provides jejunal access for delivery of tube feeds, liquids, and medications directly to the small intestine for patients who cannot absorb adequate nutrition via the stomach, including those with intestinal motility disorders, gastric outlet obstruction, severe gastroesophageal reflux, risk of aspiration, or following esophagectomy/gastrectomy.

Placement and replacement

• May be placed percutaneously under fluoroscopic or endoscopic guidance.
• May be used as a replacement device through an established stoma tract. Follow the device Instructions for Use (IFU) and institutional protocols.

Handling and care notes

• Do not rotate J-tubes; rotation can torque the tube and promote retraction.
• Inflate the retention balloon with sterile or distilled water only; monitor balloon volume and refer to the IFU for fill guidance.
• Prefer liquid medications when possible; do not crush enteric‑coated medications.
• Flush with water before and between medications to help maintain patency.
