The Avanos Medical MIC-KEY Low-Profile Jejunal (J) Feeding Tube is a button-style, single-lumen device designed to deliver enteral nutrition post-pylorically to the distal duodenum or proximal jejunum when gastric feeding is not tolerated. It features a low-profile external bolster with an inflatable internal retention balloon and interfaces with detachable MIC-KEY extension sets via the keyed SECUR-LOK connection. Constructed from medical-grade silicone and supplied sterile (gamma-irradiated), the device is intended for prescription use (Rx only).
Intended Use / Indications
- For patients requiring jejunal feeding when gastric feeding is not tolerated (e.g., impaired gastric emptying, motility disorders, gastric outlet obstruction, severe GERD, aspiration risk, or post-esophagectomy/gastrectomy).
- Provides post-pyloric enteral delivery to the distal duodenum/proximal jejunum.

Sizes and Options
- Outer diameter: 14 Fr or 18 Fr.
- Stoma (button) lengths (cm): 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 1.7, 2.0, 2.3, 2.5, 2.7, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5.
- Jejunal length: 82 cm, measured from the distal aspect of the internal retention balloon to the tube tip; trimming permitted per IFU.
- Configurations: device-only or kits that include ENFit extension sets (continuous or bolus styles available).
Placement and Replacement
- May be placed percutaneously under fluoroscopic or endoscopic guidance, surgically, or used as a replacement through an established stoma tract. Follow institutional protocols and the device IFU.
Compatibility
- Compatible with MIC-KEY extension sets (continuous or bolus). ENFit patient-side connection available via corresponding extension sets.
