Description

The Avanos MIC-KEY Low-Profile Jejunal (J) Feeding Tube is a skin-level, button-style device that provides jejunal access for delivery of nutrition, fluids, and medications when oral intake or gastric feeding is inadequate or not tolerated. It is intended for jejunal feeding only and is part of the MIC-KEY low-profile enteral feeding system.

Indications and Use

• Provides jejunal enteral access for nutrition, hydration, and medication administration.
• For patients with impaired gastric emptying, severe GERD, gastric outlet obstruction, aspiration risk, or post-esophagectomy/gastrectomy.
• Jejunal feeding only.

• Designed to work with MIC-KEY extension sets; ENFit SECUR-LOK right-angle extension sets are commonly used for low-profile jejunal applications.
• Extension sets feature validated compatibility designed to help reduce leakage.
• SECUR-LOK safety ring helps prevent misconnections to IV lines.

Feeding Methods

• Supports continuous feeding, bolus feeding, and medication administration via the jejunal port when used with the appropriate MIC-KEY extension set.

Placement and Replacement

• May be placed percutaneously under fluoroscopic or endoscopic guidance, or surgically.
• Suitable for replacement via an established stoma tract, per instructions for use.

• Outer diameter: 14 Fr or 18 Fr.
• Jejunal length: 82 cm across configurations.
• Stoma lengths (cm): 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 1.7, 2.0, 2.3, 2.5, 2.7, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5.

Sterility

• Sterile device; sterilized by gamma irradiation.
