Description

The Avanos MIC-KEY Low-Profile Gastric-Jejunal (GJ) Feeding Tube is a skin-level enteral device designed for post-pyloric feeding with concurrent gastric venting or decompression. Placed through a gastric stoma with the distal limb positioned in the jejunum, it supports pediatric and adult patients who require jejunal nutrition while allowing gastric decompression via separate lumens.

Intended Use

• Enables simultaneous jejunal feeding and gastric venting/decompression through distinct ports.
• Suitable for use with low intermittent suction or gravity drainage as directed clinically.

Design and Ports

• Low-profile “button” head with external bolster for a discreet, skin-level profile.
• Internal inflatable balloon provides retention within the stomach.
• Three clearly marked access points on the external bolster:
• JEJUNAL (J) port: delivers feed directly to the small intestine.
• GASTRIC (G) port: for venting/decompression.
• BAL port: for balloon inflation/deflation.
• One-way valves in the J and G ports open upon attachment of a compatible MIC-KEY extension set.
• No dedicated medication port; medications are administered via J or G port per clinical direction.

Connectivity and Accessories

• ENFit enteral-only connectors on J and G ports to help support enteral-only connectivity.
• Kit configurations available with MIC-KEY ENFit extension sets for continuous or bolus feeding.
• Select configurations also offered with legacy catheter-tip connector variants.
