Description

The Avanos MIC-KEY Low-Profile Gastric–Jejunal (GJ) Feeding Tube Kit (Non-ENFit, catheter-tip) is a skin-level device placed through a gastric stoma with the distal limb positioned in the jejunum. It enables jejunal feeding while allowing gastric decompression or venting. The tube is secured by an inflatable internal retention balloon and a low-profile external bolster with clearly marked G and J ports.

Indication

• For patients who require simultaneous jejunal feeding and gastric decompression/venting.

Ports and Functions

• JEJUNAL (J) port: For enteral feeding into the small intestine; one-way valve opens when a compatible MIC-KEY catheter-tip extension set is attached.
• GASTRIC (G) port: For decompression via low intermittent suction or gravity drainage; one-way valve opens when a compatible MIC-KEY catheter-tip extension set is attached.
• BAL port: For inflating/deflating the internal retention balloon.
• No dedicated medication port; medications may be administered via the J or G port per clinical direction.

• Non-ENFit configuration with catheter-tip feed connector. Use with compatible MIC-KEY catheter-tip extension sets.
