Description

Overview

A low-profile, skin-level, double-lumen gastro-jejunal enteral device placed through a gastric stoma with the distal limb positioned in the jejunum. It supports simultaneous jejunal feeding and gastric decompression/venting. Suitable for pediatric and adult patients, it may be placed endoscopically or radiologically and can serve as an initial tube when used with the Avanos introducer kit or as a replacement in a mature stoma.

Intended use

Provides post-pyloric (jejunal) feeding while allowing gastric decompression/venting via a separate gastric lumen. Designed for comfort and discretion at the skin level.

Ports and connectivity

• Three external ports on the button: JEJUNAL (feeding), GASTRIC (decompression/venting), BAL (balloon inflation/deflation).
• One-way valves in JEJUNAL and GASTRIC ports open when a compatible MIC-KEY Extension Set is attached.
• No dedicated medication port on the button; medications may be delivered via the jejunal or gastric lumen per clinical direction.
• ENFit connectivity for feeding/drainage; ports interface to extension sets via the MIC-KEY SECUR-LOK connector.

Design and key features

• Low-profile “button” with external bolster and silicone internal inflatable retention balloon.
• Weighted jejunal segment (tungsten) to help maintain position; radiopaque stripe/segment for visualization under imaging.
• Multiple exit ports on the jejunal limb; gastric lumen supports decompression/venting (low intermittent suction or gravity).
• Tapered distal tip to aid insertion; clearly marked G (gastric) and J (jejunal) ports.
• Jejunal length is measured from the distal aspect of the retention balloon to the catheter tip.

Materials and biocompatibility

• Tube: medical-grade silicone; components may include polyetherimide and polycarbonate; radiopacity provided by tungsten/stripe.
• Not formulated with natural rubber latex or DEHP/DBP/BBP.
• Extension sets: PVC (citrate-softened) and ABS; clamp polypropylene.

Sterility and handling

• Sterilized by gamma radiation. Single-use; prescription device (Rx only). Do not reuse, reprocess, or re-sterilize.

Sizes and options

• French sizes: 14, 16, 18, 22 Fr.
• Stoma lengths: approximately 1.0–7.0 cm.
• Jejunal limb lengths: 15, 22, 30, 45 cm.

Kit contents (ENFit)

• 1 MIC-KEY GJ tube.
• MIC-KEY ENFit Extension Set for continuous feeding: SECUR-LOK right-angle connector, dual ENFit feeding connectors, closure cap, clamp (approx. 12 in/30 cm).
• MIC-KEY ENFit Bolus Extension Set: single ENFit feeding connector with SECUR-LOK straight connector, clamp (approx. 12 in/30 cm).
• 1 introducer cannula; 1 6 mL Luer-slip syringe (balloon); 1 35 mL female ENFit syringe; gauze pads.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and radiation.

Contraindications (partial list)

Include but are not limited to ascites, colonic interposition, portal hypertension, peritonitis, and morbid obesity. Refer to the instructions for use (IFU) for the full list and safety information.
