Overview and Intended Use
The Avanos Medical MIC-KEY Low-Profile Gastric-Jejunal (GJ) Feeding Tube Kit (ENFit) is a skin-level, low-profile enteral access device placed via a gastric stoma with the distal limb positioned in the jejunum. It is intended for pediatric and adult patients who require simultaneous jejunal feeding and gastric decompression or venting.
Design and Ports
- Low-profile button with an external bolster and an internal inflatable retention balloon.
- Three clearly labeled access ports:
- JEJUNAL (feeding)
- GASTRIC (decompression/venting)
- BAL (balloon inflation/deflation)
- One-way valves in the JEJUNAL and GASTRIC ports open when a MIC-KEY ENFit extension set is attached.
- No dedicated medication port; medications are administered via the J or G port per clinical direction.

Sizes and Options
- French sizes: 14, 16, 18, and 22 Fr.
- Stoma lengths: approximately 1.0 to 7.0 cm.
- Jejunal lengths: 15, 22, 30, and 45 cm.
- Jejunal length is measured from the distal aspect of the retention balloon to the catheter tip.
Important Use Notes
- Inflate the retention balloon with sterile or distilled water only.
- Use with compatible MIC-KEY ENFit extension sets to engage port valves as designed.
- Selection of French size, stoma length, and jejunal length should be based on clinical assessment and imaging confirmation of placement, per institutional protocols.
