Description

The MIC-KEY Low-Profile Gastric-Jejunal (GJ) Feeding Tube from Avanos Medical is a skin-level, gastro-jejunal enteral device intended for pediatric and adult patients who require simultaneous jejunal (post-pyloric) feeding and gastric decompression or venting. Its low-profile “button” configuration supports discretion and comfort at the stoma site while providing separate, clearly identified pathways for therapy and drainage.

Intended Use

• For post-pyloric feeding via the jejunum with concurrent gastric decompression/venting or drainage.

Design and Materials

• Low-profile, skin-level button with external bolster for stability and comfort.
• Internal, water-filled retention balloon with separate external BAL port for inflation/deflation.
• Two dedicated lumens/ports: JEJUNAL (feeding) and GASTRIC (decompression/venting), each with a one-way valve activated by MIC-KEY extension set attachment.
• Weighted, radiopaque jejunal limb to help maintain position; radiopaque stripe for catheter visualization.
• Tapered distal tip to aid placement.
• Medical-grade silicone construction; latex-free.
• No dedicated medication port; medications are administered via the J or G port per clinical direction.
