Description

The Avanos MIC-KEY Low-Profile Gastric-Jejunal (GJ) Feeding Tube Kit (ENFit) is a skin-level, double-lumen “button” designed for patients who require post-pyloric feeding. Placed through a gastric stoma with the distal limb positioned in the jejunum, it enables simultaneous jejunal feeding and gastric decompression/venting in pediatric and adult populations under clinical direction.

Design and access ports

• Low-profile external bolster with clearly marked ports: JEJUNAL (feeding), GASTRIC (decompression/venting; medications per clinical direction), and BAL (balloon inflation/deflation)
• Internal inflatable silicone retention balloon
• One-way valves in JEJUNAL and GASTRIC ports that open when a MIC-KEY extension set is attached
• Separate gastric and jejunal lumens, multiple jejunal exit ports, and gastric drainage openings
• Tapered distal tip for catheter advancement
• Radiopaque stripe and tungsten-weighted jejunal portion for visualization and position maintenance

Connectivity

• MIC-KEY twist-to-lock (SECUR-LOK/lock-and-key) interface at the button
• ENFit feeding connectors on the extension sets; ENFit-compatible kit
• Same extension set type fits across all tube sizes

Materials and formulation

• Medical-grade silicone tube; not made with natural rubber latex
• Not formulated with DEHP, DBP, or BBP
• Components may include polyether imide, polycarbonate, barium sulfate, stainless steel spring
• Extension sets: PVC (citrate plasticizer) and ABS; clamp polypropylene

Balloon inflation guidance

• 15–30 cm jejunal lengths: recommended 3 mL; maximum 5 mL
• 45 cm jejunal length: recommended 7 mL; maximum 10 mL

Placement and replacement

• Intended for endoscopic or radiologic placement by a clinician; not for at-home replacement
