The Avanos MIC-KEY Low-Profile Gastric-Jejunal (GJ) Feeding Tube is a skin-level, button-style enteral device placed through a gastric stoma to provide simultaneous jejunal feeding and gastric decompression/venting. It is intended for pediatric and adult patients who require post-pyloric nutrition while draining or venting the stomach.
Intended Use
- Supports enteral feeding into the jejunum while enabling gastric drainage via suction or gravity.
- Suitable when post-pyloric feeding is clinically indicated alongside gastric decompression.
Design and Retention
- Single-unit, dual-lumen tube with a low-profile external bolster to sit at skin level.
- Internal inflatable silicone retention balloon and tapered distal tip to aid insertion and securement.
Ports and Function
- Two functional access ports on the external bolster, each with a one-way valve:
- JEJUNAL (J) port: delivers feeds into the small intestine.
- GASTRIC (G) port: allows gastric drainage via low intermittent suction or gravity.
- BAL port for balloon inflation/deflation.
- No dedicated medication port; medications are administered via the J or G port per clinical direction.
Connectivity and Compatibility
- Available with ENFit connectors or legacy catheter-tip (non-ENFit) connectors.
- Uses MIC-KEY Extension Sets; extension sets are universal across tube sizes.
- ENFit-configured kits include ENFit extension sets suitable for continuous and bolus feeding.

- Radiopaque stripe to aid imaging and position verification.
