Description

The Avanos MIC-KEY Low-Profile Balloon Gastrostomy Feeding Tube (Button) with ENFit Extension Sets is a skin-level gastrostomy device designed for long-term enteral nutrition, medication delivery, and gastric decompression in pediatric and adult patients. It may be placed percutaneously under fluoroscopic, endoscopic, or laparoscopic guidance, or used as a replacement device through an established stoma tract.

Intended Use

• Supports enteral feeding, medication administration, and decompression via a G-tube configuration (no jejunal port).

Design and Retention

• Low-profile “button” sits at skin level to reduce snagging and interference with clothing.
• Internal inflatable silicone balloon provides internal retention.
• Anti-reflux valve in the feeding port remains closed when no extension set is attached.
• Recessed distal tip and low-profile external base designed for comfort at the stoma site.
• Radiopaque stripe aids visualization under imaging.

Connectors and Ports (ENFit)

• Uses MIC-KEY ENFit-compatible extension sets to connect for feeding and medication delivery.
• SECUR-LOK right-angle patient-end connector helps reduce leaks and accidental disconnects and protects the valve.
• Medication port available via the ENFit Y-connector extension set.

Materials and Sterility

• Tube: high-clarity, medical-grade silicone; sterile (ethylene oxide); natural rubber latex-free.
• Extension sets: non-sterile; single-patient reusable; natural rubber latex-free and DEHP-free.

• French sizes: 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24 Fr.
• Stoma lengths (cm): 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 1.7, 2.0, 2.3, 2.5, 2.7, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0 (availability varies by French size).

Balloon Inflation Volumes

• Use only sterile/distilled water.
• 12 Fr: recommended 3 mL; maximum 5 mL.
• 14–24 Fr: recommended 5 mL; maximum 10 mL.
