The Avanos MIC-KEY Low-Profile Balloon Gastrostomy Button is a skin-level, balloon-retained G-tube designed to provide long-term gastric access for enteral nutrition, medication delivery, and gastric decompression in pediatric and adult patients. Prescription use only.

  • Two ENFit extension sets with SECUR-LOK right‑angle patient-end connectors:
  • 12-inch (≈30 cm) Continuous Feed extension set with Y-connector and medication port; integrated tubing clamp.
  • 12-inch (≈30 cm) Bolus Feed extension set (ENFit).
  • Extension sets are non-sterile; reusable for single‑patient use; not made with natural rubber latex; DEHP-free.

Sizes and fit

  • French sizes: 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24 Fr.
  • Stoma (shaft) lengths (cm): 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, 1.7, 2.0, 2.3, 2.5, 2.7, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0.
  • Example validated variant: 16 Fr, 2.0 cm stoma length.

Balloon inflation guidance

  • Inflate the retention balloon with sterile or distilled water only.
  • 12 Fr: recommended 3 mL; maximum 5 mL.
  • 14–24 Fr: recommended 5 mL; maximum 10 mL.

Placement

  • May be placed percutaneously under fluoroscopic, laparoscopic, or endoscopic guidance.
  • Suitable as a replacement device via an established stoma tract.

Safety and handling

  • Single-patient device; do not resterilize; do not use if packaging is compromised.
  • Verify French size and stoma length selection before placement and feeding.
  • Confirm secure SECUR-LOK engagement and valve patency prior to use.
