• Leak Prevention: An anti-reflux valve in the feeding port helps prevent leakage when disconnected, and the set can be used for aspiration of stomach contents and tube placement verification.

Material and Design

Available in lengths of 12 inches (30 cm) and 24 inches (60 cm), the tubing and connectors are made from DEHP-free PVC, with additional components crafted from ABS, polyurethane, and polypropylene. The design is free from natural rubber latex, DEHP, DBP, BBP, and Bisphenol A, aligning with high safety standards.

Usage Instructions

Intended for single-patient use, the MIC-KEY* Bolus Extension Set is reusable for the same patient, with recommended replacement every two weeks. Proper care involves washing with warm soapy water, thorough rinsing, and air drying between uses. Each set is individually packaged in a plastic pouch, with five pouches per carton.

Care and Maintenance

To attach, align the black lines on the extension set and feeding port, push down firmly, and lock by turning clockwise until resistance is felt. Disconnect by rotating counter-clockwise until the black lines align, then gently detach. Flushing with water before and after each use is essential to prevent clogging.

This non-sterile device is CE marked as a Class IIa medical device and is manufactured in an ISO13485 compliant facility in Mexico. With a shelf life of five years, it should be stored in a cool, dry place to maintain its integrity.
