Description
The Avanos MIC Gastric-Jejunal (GJ) Feeding Tube with ENFit connector is a dual-lumen enteral access device designed for simultaneous gastric decompression/drainage and delivery of nutrition into the distal duodenum or proximal jejunum. It supports patients who cannot meet nutritional needs via the stomach while enabling continuous venting of gastric contents as clinically indicated.
Intended use and patient populations
- Patients unable to absorb adequate nutrition through the stomach
- Intestinal motility disorders
- Gastric outlet obstruction
- Severe gastroesophageal reflux
- Elevated aspiration risk
- Post-esophagectomy or post-gastrectomy
Placement
- Designed for endoscopic or radiologic placement according to clinical protocol and the Instructions for Use (IFU).

- Dual-lumen design:
- Gastric lumen: decompression/drainage
- Jejunal lumen: feeding
- Feed set connector: ENFit
- Jejunal feeding port present; no dedicated medication port (medications may be administered via the jejunal feeding port as directed).

- Jejunal length options (availability varies by size):
- 16 Fr: 15 cm, 22 cm, 30 cm, 45 cm

Design features
- Inflatable internal retention balloon (silicone); fill with sterile/distilled water per IFU
- External stabilization via SECUR-LOK retention ring (included with kit configurations)
- Radiopaque stripe for visualization under imaging
- Tapered distal tip to aid passage and positioning
