Description

The Avanos MIC ENFit Gastrojejunal (GJ) Feeding Tube is a balloon-retained, transgastric–jejunal, double-lumen device designed to support patients who cannot tolerate or absorb adequate nutrition via the stomach. It enables simultaneous gastric decompression/drainage and jejunal delivery of enteral nutrition and medications intended for the jejunum. Typical candidates include individuals with intestinal dysmotility, gastric outlet obstruction, severe gastroesophageal reflux, aspiration risk, or those post-esophagectomy/gastrectomy.

Key Features and Design

• Double-lumen catheter with separate gastric drainage and jejunal feeding pathways.
• Internal silicone retention balloon; typical fill volume 7–10 mL (size-dependent), maximum 10 mL.
• SECUR-LOK external retention ring for skin-level stabilization.
• Tapered distal tip with multiple exit ports on both gastric and jejunal segments to support flow and reduce clog risk.
• Male ENFit connectors on both the gastric and jejunal ports; no separate medication port.
• Medical-grade silicone construction.
• Radiopaque features: tungsten-weighted jejunal segment and barium-sulfate stripe on the gastric segment for visualization under imaging.
• Not made with natural rubber latex, DEHP, DBP, or BBP.

Placement and Use

• Suitable for initial endoscopic or fluoroscopic placement and for replacement in an established stoma tract.
• Surgical-placement kit versions exist within the product family.
• Sterile, single-use device; do not re-use, re-process, or re-sterilize.

Ports and Connectors

• Gastric port: drainage/decompression via male ENFit connector.
• Jejunal port: enteral feeding and jejunal medication delivery via male ENFit connector.
