Mepitel is an advanced wound contact layer dressing developed by Mölnlycke Health Care. It features the innovative Safetac® soft silicone adhesive technology, designed to minimize pain and trauma during dressing changes. This unique adhesive adheres only to dry, intact skin, leaving the moist wound bed untouched, thereby reducing discomfort and promoting healing.

Application Instructions

1. Clean the wound and surrounding area.
2. Ensure the peri-wound skin is dry.
3. Cut Mepitel to size, allowing for at least a 2 cm overlap beyond the wound margin.
4. Apply directly to the wound, ensuring full contact.
5. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing.
6. Change the secondary dressing as needed; Mepitel may remain in place for up to 14 days.
