Antimicrobial Properties

The dressing is embedded with ionic silver, providing robust antimicrobial action against a broad spectrum of wound-related pathogens, including bacteria and fungi. This action begins within 30 minutes and can last up to 14 days, potentially reducing wound odor and enhancing the healing environment.

Safetac® Technology

Featuring Safetac® technology, Mepilex® Transfer Ag includes a soft silicone wound contact layer that minimizes pain and trauma during dressing changes. It adheres gently to dry, intact skin without sticking to the moist wound bed, effectively sealing around wound margins to reduce the risk of maceration.

Exudate Management

The dressing efficiently transfers exudate into a secondary absorbent dressing, maintaining a moist wound environment conducive to healing. This mechanism supports undisturbed wound care, allowing the primary dressing to remain in place for up to 14 days, depending on clinical judgment.
