## Description
Nutricia Elemental 028 Extra Liquid (E028 Extra) is an amino acid–based, nutritionally complete elemental formula for oral or enteral use under medical supervision. It is intended for the dietary management of severe gastrointestinal impairment, including Crohn’s disease, short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption, bowel fistulae, and radiation enteritis. It is also used in malabsorption syndromes, eosinophilic oesophagitis, inflammatory bowel disease, and for patients with multiple food allergies requiring enteral feeding. ### Indications and suitability
- Children ≥1 year: suitable as a supplement.
- Children ≥5 years and adults: may be used as a sole source of nutrition.
- Not suitable for infants <1 year.
- Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition for children <5 years.
