Jevity HiCal is a high-energy enteral nutrition formula designed by Abbott to meet the complex dietary needs of individuals at risk of disease-related malnutrition. With an energy density of 1.5 kcal/mL, it serves as a nutritionally complete and balanced liquid feed, enriched with fibre and fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) to support gastrointestinal health.

It also contains a comprehensive range of vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, D, E, K, and essential minerals like calcium, iron, and zinc. The formula's glycaemic index is 59, with an osmolality of approximately 524 mOsm/kg H2O.

Ingredients

The main ingredients include water, maltodextrin, sodium and calcium caseinates, high oleic sunflower oil, canola oil, and soy protein isolate. It contains allergens such as milk, soy, and cereals (wheat, oat).

Storage and Handling

Jevity HiCal should be stored unopened at room temperature, away from light. Once opened, it should be refrigerated and used within 24 hours. For tube feeding, it is recommended to connect the feeding set immediately prior to use and discard any unused portion within 24 hours.
