Crafted from a biocompatible, medical-grade acetyl polymer, HEMOLOK CLIPS are non-absorbable, inert, and non-conductive. Their radiolucent properties ensure they do not interfere with diagnostic imaging such as CT, MRI, or X-rays, while some models include radiopaque markers for enhanced imaging visibility. The proprietary distal locking mechanism provides both tactile and auditory feedback, ensuring a secure closure with each application.

The design includes integrated ridges and teeth, offering a 360° grip to prevent slippage. A flexible hinge allows the clips to pass through smaller ports, providing a larger distal opening compared to traditional metal clips. Color-coded for easy size identification, these clips are supplied sterile in cartridges for single use, compatible with Weck Open and Endoscopic Clip Appliers and Removers.

Indications and Contraindications

These clips are indicated for use in surgeries requiring effective hemostasis or tissue closure, such as nephrectomy, cholecystectomy, and various urological, gynecological, and cardiovascular procedures. However, they are not intended for use as a fallopian contraceptive device or for ligating the renal artery during laparoscopic donor nephrectomies.
