The GAMMEX PI Plus Glove-in-Glove System by Ansell is an innovative solution designed to enhance safety and efficiency in surgical settings. This unique system features a synthetic, pre-donned double gloving arrangement, consisting of two polyisoprene (PI) gloves that are pre-aligned at the fingertips. This design allows for seamless double gloving in a single step, making it particularly beneficial for high-risk surgical procedures.

Key Features

• Latex-Free Material: Crafted from synthetic polyisoprene, these gloves are completely latex-free, eliminating the risk of latex-related allergies. They are also free from chemical accelerators, reducing the likelihood of allergic contact dermatitis.

• Powder-Free Design: The absence of powder in these gloves minimizes the risk of powder-related complications, ensuring a safer surgical environment.

• Enhanced Grip: The gloves feature textured fingers and palms, providing excellent grip in both dry and damp conditions. This is complemented by a beaded cuff with SUREFIT™ Technology to ensure a secure fit and reduce roll-down.

• Easy Donning and Doffing: The internal surface is polymer-coated with DERMASHIELD™ Technology, facilitating easy donning and doffing even with damp hands.

Color and Comfort

The outer glove is available in white or semi-transparent, while the underglove is green, allowing for easy breach detection. Ergonomically designed, these gloves are certified by United States Ergonomics to enhance comfort and reduce hand muscle effort. The thickness is meticulously measured, with the finger at 0.43 ± 0.05 mm and the palm at 0.40 ± 0.05 mm.

Sterility and Allergen Profile

These gloves are sterile and intended for single use. They are free from natural rubber latex proteins and other potential allergens, such as Zinc 2-mercaptobenzothiazole (ZMBT) and Diphenylguanidine (DPG). With an Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) of 0.65, they offer high assurance against holes.

Intended Use

Ideal for surgical procedures, particularly in orthopaedics, trauma, and cardiac surgeries, as well as laboratory applications. Available in sizes ranging from 5.5 to 9, they come packaged with 2 pairs per pouch, 50 pairs per box, and 4 boxes per carton.

Environmental Commitment

The packaging is designed with sustainability in mind, using at least 50% recycled material and significantly reducing paper use. The manufacturing facility operates on 83%–100% renewable energy and is certified for waste diversion, aligning with Ansell's commitment to environmental responsibility.
