Fortisip Compact Fibre (Nutricia) is a ready-to-drink, high-energy (2.4 kcal/ml), fibre-enriched, nutritionally complete oral nutritional supplement (Food for Special Medical Purposes). Each compact 125 ml bottle provides 300 kcal (≈1256 kJ), ~12 g protein and 4.5 g of mixed fibre to help maintain normal bowel function. Suitable as a sole source of nutrition when indicated and used under medical supervision. For enteral use only.

Indications and suitability

• Dietary management of disease-related malnutrition (e.g., cancer, post-trauma, cystic fibrosis, burns, dementia, COPD) and for patients with high energy requirements
• May be considered where fluid restriction is required, as clinically indicated
• Not for parenteral use; not suitable for galactosaemia, cow’s milk protein allergy, children under 3 years, or patients requiring a fibre-free diet; use with caution in children aged 3–6 years
• Monitor fluid intake to ensure adequate hydration

Directions for use and storage

• Best served chilled; shake well; use as directed by a healthcare professional
• Store in a cool, dry place
• Once opened, reclose, refrigerate, and use within 24 hours
