Overview
The Avanos CORGRIP Nasogastric/Nasointestinal (NG/NI) Feeding Tube Retention System is an external securement accessory designed to help maintain the position of NG and NI tubes in adult patients. By providing a stable fixation point at the nares, it assists in reducing inadvertent tube displacement or removal. Intended for adult use only; not for pediatric patients.
Indications and Compatibility
- Indicated for use with AVANOS enteral feeding tubes of 8 Fr and greater.
- Compatible with NG decompression, suction, and drainage tubes up to 18 Fr.

- Slot‑Slide‑Lock (SSL) clamp enables positioning and locking of the tube for secure external fixation.

Use and Handling
- Single‑patient use.
- Supplied non‑sterile; no sterilization required before use.
- Recommended for up to 4 weeks of continuous use.
- Shelf life: 5 years from date of manufacture.
Contraindications and Cautions
- Do not use in patients with facial and/or cranial fractures, or with nasal airway abnormalities/obstructions.
- Avoid use in patients likely to pull on the feeding tube/device to a degree that could cause self‑injury; consider alternative securement if continuous pulling is likely.
- Not for pediatric use.
