Selecting and applying
- Choose the width to suit the body area; narrower widths for hands/feet, medium for arms/knees, wider for legs or trunk
- Apply with even tension from distal to proximal, overlapping each turn by roughly two‑thirds
- Ensure any dressings are fully covered and check circulation regularly; loosen or reapply if skin becomes cold, blue, or numb
