Description
A zinc oxide–based barrier ointment formulated to treat and help prevent diaper/nappy rash in babies. This maximum-strength paste contains 40% w/w zinc oxide to quickly form an immediate, water‑insoluble protective layer that shields delicate skin from moisture, enzymes, and irritants. The rich, occlusive base is designed for reliable coverage, including overnight use when prolonged wetness is more likely. Hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested. Alcohol-free (no ethanol/denatured alcohol).
How it works
Zinc oxide 40% creates an occlusive, protective barrier while helping soothe irritated skin. Petrolatum, lanolin, and beeswax reinforce occlusion and reduce transepidermal water loss. Starch (or talc in certain markets) helps absorb excess moisture and contributes to the paste’s staying power. Glycerin supports skin hydration, and antioxidants help maintain formula stability.
