These components work together to soften stools and stimulate bowel movements, typically resulting in relief within 6 to 12 hours.

Active Ingredients

• Docusate Sodium (50 mg per tablet): Acts as a stool softener by drawing water into the stool, making it easier to pass.
• Sennosides (8 mg per tablet): Derived from natural senna, these stimulate bowel contractions to aid in stool expulsion.

Usage and Dosage

Coloxyl with Senna is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over. It is particularly beneficial for those experiencing constipation, including cases induced by opioid use. The recommended dosage is 1 to 2 tablets taken at night with a glass of water, which can be increased to 4 tablets if necessary. It is advised to take the tablets once daily at bedtime.

Tablet Characteristics

The tablets are red-brown, round, film-coated, and bi-convex, with a diameter of approximately 8.7 mm. They are available in various pack sizes, including bottles of 8, 30, 45, 90, 100, and 200 tablets.
