Description
Chlorsig Eye Ointment is a specialized ophthalmic treatment formulated by Aspen Pharmacare Australia Pty Ltd. It contains 1% chloramphenicol, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, designed to combat bacterial conjunctivitis and other superficial ocular infections. Application Instructions

Steps for Application
- Wash hands thoroughly.
- Tilt head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid.
- Squeeze the ointment inside the lower eyelid, avoiding contact between the tube tip and the eye.
- Close eyes gently for 1–2 minutes post-application.
Temporary blurred vision may occur after use, so caution is advised.
Precautions
- Not recommended for individuals allergic to chloramphenicol or any listed ingredients.
- Avoid use if there's a history of blood disorders or specific eye conditions like glaucoma.
- Ensure packaging integrity and check expiry date before use.
- Contact lenses should not be worn during treatment and for 24 hours post-treatment.
Storage
- Store below 25°C, away from light.
- Keep in a cool, dry place.
- Discard four weeks after opening.
- Keep out of reach of children.
