Prontosan® Wound Irrigation Solution is an advanced wound care product developed by B. Braun Medical AG. It is specifically designed to enhance wound cleansing and irrigation, effectively addressing biofilms in various types of wounds, including acute, chronic, surgical, traumatic, and burn wounds.

Composition

Application Instructions

• Topical Use: Suitable for cleansing a variety of wounds, including chronic skin ulcers and superficial to deep partial thickness burns.
• Application Method: Cleanse the wound and peri-wound skin without rinsing off. Soak gauze or compress with the solution and apply to the wound for optimal results.
• Storage: Available in 40 mL ampoules and 350 mL or 1000 mL bottles. Store away from direct sunlight and do not refrigerate.

Safety Precautions

Prontosan® is non-cytotoxic, does not irritate the skin, and is generally well accepted by patients. However, it may cause sensitization in some individuals and should not be used on certain body areas such as the CNS or eyes.
