Safety Features

A standout feature of the AGANI™ Safety Needle is its integrated safety mechanism. The needle is equipped with a safety shield that can be activated with one hand immediately after use, significantly reducing the risk of accidental needle stick injuries. The shield provides audible feedback upon locking and includes a clear sheath window for visual confirmation. Activation is versatile, allowing engagement against a hard surface or manually with a finger or thumb.

Needle Design

The needle's design includes a sharp lancet point geometry for easy penetration and minimal trauma, complemented by a steeper point angle and short bevel options to reduce vascular perforation risks. Its thin-walled construction enhances flow rate, while a silicone-coated cannula ensures smooth insertion. The ISO 6009 colour-coded hubs facilitate easy gauge identification, and the semi-transparent hub allows for clear flashback detection.

Compatibility and Materials

Compatible with standard Luer Slip and Luer Lock syringes, the needle is constructed from high-quality materials, including stainless steel for the cannula and polypropylene for the hub, sheath, collar, and protector. It is latex-free, PVC-free, and devoid of natural rubber latex, ensuring broad compatibility and safety.

Sterilization and Shelf Life

The AGANI™ Safety Needle is sterilized using ethylene oxide (EO) to a sterility assurance level of at least 10⁻⁶, with a shelf life of five years from production. It is CE certified, classified as Class IIa under MDR 2017/745, and complies with European Directive 2010/32/EU on sharps injury prevention.

Size Options

Available in gauges ranging from 18G to 30G and lengths from 13 mm to 38 mm, the needle offers a variety of sizes to suit different medical needs. Each size features an ISO colour-coded hub for easy identification.

Packaging

Each needle is individually packed in a blister, with unit boxes containing 100 needles. Shipping cartons vary by item code, accommodating 800 or 10,000 needles, and feature multilingual packaging.
