Key Features

The tube is equipped with a microthin polyurethane cuff, with a thickness ranging from 10 to 13 microns. This high volume–low pressure cuff is cylindrically shaped to enhance contact with the tracheal wall, thereby reducing air leaks and providing a reliable seal even at low pressures. The cuff's design significantly outperforms conventional globular PVC cuffs by offering superior protection against fluid leakage and microaspiration.

Additional features include a Murphy Eye for enhanced safety, a radiopaque line for easy X-ray visualization, and a short tip with a cuff-free subglottic zone. The robust design includes nearly double the puncture strength and burst pressure compared to standard cuffs, enhancing durability. The tube's dimensions feature an inner diameter of 7.0 mm and an outer diameter between 9.3 and 9.5 mm.

Performance

Usage Guidelines

This single-use, disposable device is packaged in boxes of 10 and manufactured in Mexico. Proper maintenance involves regular monitoring of cuff pressure, especially in response to changes in altitude or ventilation parameters. When using manual manometers, employing a three-way tap is recommended to prevent significant pressure fluctuations.
