Design and Use

The lens's design includes a convex 'belly' side facing the examiner and a flatter side facing the patient. Some versions feature a metallic rim to indicate the patient-facing side. Proper care involves regular cleaning with Volk Precision Optical Lens Cleaner or Volk LensPen®. Disinfection should follow manufacturer instructions using recommended high-level disinfectants. For surgical use or contact with ulcerated corneas, comprehensive sterilization methods are compatible, including Ethylene Oxide, Steam, Sterrad, V-Pro, and Sterizone VP4.

Storage and Handling

Store the lens in a clean, dry environment at room temperature. Note that colored rings may discolor with certain disinfectants or repeated sterilization, affecting appearance only. Use Volk Sterilization Case or Tray to prevent damage, and avoid sterilizing Volk black leatherette or clamshell cases.
